Modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) rely increasingly on combinatorial optimisation to ensure efficient stock reception, allocation, and handling operations. We study a multi-criteria Vector Bin-Packing (VBP) problem where items of multiple categories must be assigned to bins under weight and volume capacities. Beyond feasibility, three operational objectives motivate this work: content homogeneity, weight balancing, and density balancing.
